Airport Jockey Travel Tips on Drinking and Smoking

The City's liquor laws permits the sale of wine, beer and liquor from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m every day, though certain places are licensed only to sell wine and beer, including sake. It's illegal in California to smoke in bars. You might find some exceptions, as there are some loopholes but see that you're prepared to smoke outside! As of May 2006, it's also illegal to smoke in trains, city buses, cable car stops and also avoid smoking inside SFO Shuttle and San Francisco Airport Transportation.
