How to save money when you visit San Francisco

Being a small city, you will find major tourist attractions within city limits. It is very difficult to find parking space in the city, so avoid driving in the city traffic. Many hotels charge nearly $20 for parking which is very expensive. So try out other modes of transport. If you want to visit the city for a day, then rent a car.

There are many inexpensive hotels in San Francisco. Stay in any one of them. San Francisco City Pass includes a seven-day Muni Pass for Unlimited rides on cable cars, light rail and city buses. You also get admission to various attractions, and a San Francisco Bay Cruise. The Muni Passport is good for unlimited travel on cable cars, street cars and buses. Some free attractions include Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park. You can go in for a cheap lunch and use most of your meal budget for dinner.
